Wilde C3 Design is a Chicago-based freelance graphic design
effort. Having acquired its current name in January of 1999,
Wilde C3 Design has been active in Chicago’s GLBTH+ community for over ten years.
"Wilde C3" is a combination of Oscar Wilde's own surname and his prison cell and block identification (prison block C, cell number 3)
in the late 19th century. The intention behind this selection
is twofold:
Oscar Wilde, a well known Irish playwright, dramatist and overall wit, was infamous for his bold approach through his flawless command of the written, and spoken, word. Taunting the Victorian era with his literary moxie, Wilde was perhaps an entire century ahead of his time. His dedication to the ideal and his grasp of reason are the cornerstones of Wilde C3 Design.
